Before I start this post properly, I must warn you that some people might get annoyed by what I say but hopefully most people will understand where I'm coming from.
Rockstar are great at handing out new content for no charge, not even a cent but how much of that content did you really want? Take the Biker DLC for example, it appeals to those that like motorbikes but those that don't really like motorbikes that much (including myself) had to download the DLC anyway just to be able to play GTA Online again. What I suggest Rockstar do is similar to what Turn10 do with the Forza Motorsport\Horizon games, give players the option of what content they want. Turn10 released Blizzard Mountain for Forza Horizon 3 just before Christmas, as a rally fan & occasional rally driver, I loved that DLC so I bought it, but the guy who just wants to drift around Surfer's Paradise wasn't forced to download it just so he can play his game. Yes, I'm suggesting paid addons for GTA Online but that way cuts down on useless content that you don't want.
Now this is where some people might get annoyed, rather than getting a full blown off road DLC, what about a shit load of paid addons instead? Each addon would cost around £5, if you don't like off roading, that's fine, you can choose from the other content addons. If you don't want any of the addons, that's ok, your game will run perfectly fine without them. There is a large roleplaying community on GTA Online, I know a few people who do some GTA military roleplaying & they feel let down because any new content is focused around CEOs & business.
The point I'm trying to make is that Rockstar should start making content addons so that players can choose what content they want for GTA, for example you don't like off roading but you like trucking & hauling stuff, there'll be a haulage addon with everything you want rather than the current Rockstar idea of here's more CEO stuff, oh you don't like it? tough shit, your game won't work without it.
Anyway, that was just another thought I had about GTA Online's future. Yes I'm suggesting more microtransactions in GTA even though I hate them but I'm also tired of content that I don't really want or even like but I have to download that content just so I can play GTA Online again.
Hopefully nobody actually got annoyed at this post, it's just my opinion & thoughts. If you don't agree, that's fine, I just hope you understand my point.
