The “ROAR Isle of Los Santos TT Races”, will test your driving and riding skills to the limit. In a battle of skill, speed and who’s got the biggest balls .
And for the first time a ROAR event will have a crew competition, this is an open invite to crews of all shape and form to come and take part. Competitors score points for there crew based on there position in the individual events.
The Circuit
Steve dogg 51 and Yello Cactus have recreated the TT Race circuit, a 20.7 miles ROAD COURSE on the closed streets and roads of Los Santos. True to the Real Life (RL) event, the streets are free from traffic, the lap is high speed, and takes drivers across the map on the route which includes some of Los Santos’s greatest roads .
As we take you through the tight bends and turns of the Vinewood hills to long flat out straights of Grapeseed, through Paleto bay and up across the cliff top roads of the Tongva Hills, your Vehicle choice will be vital. The choice of course is down to the individual, will you go for top-speed ? or handling and acceleration ? sections of the lap suit both but what will be faster.
The Event will host 4 GTA vehicle Classes.
SUV, SPORTS, SUPER CARS AND BIKE’S
(restrictions on cars may be in place due to unreleased DLC content)
Each class will be its own individual competition. But there will also be an overall winner and combined classes winner.
The event will run a similar format to the ROAR RALLY. A time trial event, however times will be set by Competitors in live lobbies and those times will be recorded to decide the result.
Each competitor has one lap of the course to set their fastest time. One lap, with all the pressure.
To avoid contact, there will be a staggered start, with competitors starting at 30 second intervals.
The race night format will involve a lobby starting which can accommodate 25 racers.
We can accommodate up to 100+ competitors, because the event is time based.
Additional lobbies can be run if required
(we had 72+ competitors in the ROAR Rally We hope to top that)
7 titles will be awarded throughout the event.
The magnificent 7
Drivers can focus on one specific class, or enter multiple classes, its up to you. All the fastest lap times will, be recorded and published on a Leader board graphic. The driver with the fastest time in each class will be the champion.
The process will be completed for each class. A different class each weekend.
Drivers can compete in single classes or multiple classes. Its up to you.
-SUV champion
-Sports Champion
-Supers Champion
-TT Bikes Champion-
-Multi Class Champion-
There will be an additional leader board for the combined class time. Drivers competing in all fours classes will have their times added together. The driver with the lowest combined time for all for classes will be crowned the Multi Class Champion.
-Kings Of Speed-
The Fastest laps will be recorded on this leader board. Ignoring the class of vehicle. To see who set the lap record and is crowned the King Of Speed.
-The Fastest Crew-
As an incentive to Crew’s to get there members involved and promote the event, we will also be offering a Crew competition. Competitors can score points for their crews toward the fastest Crew leader board. The top ten players on the class leader boards each will score points for their represented crew. The Points will be totaled at the end of the event and the Fastest Crew announced. Its a great opertunity for crew members together mid-week and spend some time practicing an improving together.
How do we get an accurate time?
The Race will be set as a gta race, over 3 laps. The racers will be given a starting order by the hosts, as we enter the lobby.
On the designated Race Night, all entrants join the Race and go for three laps, which breaks down as follows:
• First lap: a warm-up lap tackled as a group to learn the course. All Racers must pull off the track before hitting the last check point.
• The race order is given, drivers line up at the side of the track. The 1st driver is then called to the start line.
• Second lap: Racers set off on at 30 second intervals to set their time over the course of the second lap. This is recorded on the on the leader board. (shown as fastest lap)
• Final lap: completed in group formation for a show of unity, once all drivers have completed there 2nd lap.
The competitors fastest lap time on the leader board will be there time for that class. Race position is not important what is added to the score board is your fastest lap time.
What if I overcome the 30 second stagger, and catch another player ?
If a Competitor catches the competitor in front, it is the responsibility of the driver in front that has been caught to MOVE TO THE right and let the faster driver through on the LEFT. Avoid contact all costs ! time penalties will be added or disqualification from the class or even event. This gives the event some realism.
-Event Schedule-
This is dependent on the number of overall competitors. We will set 4 race weekends And look to run 1 class each weekend.
Friday night will see an open group practice session set up, for the corresponding class.
multiple 3 laps non contact races. To give competitors a chance to get together and practice.
Saturday night will be Race night. With the timed lobby for the class This will start at 11pm BST, (additional lobbies will be follow dependent on the number of competitors)
Results will be posted on Sunday. This will also give the Hosts time to review any race incidents.
Race Coverage
Each practice session and Race will have coverage on twitch.tv. The races will be spectated by our commentary team. Competitors are encourage to make sure they have there spectate turned on.
And there will also be interactive chat, and commentary party. As a competitor you may be invited to enter the commentary party for a pre or post race interview, have your memorable quotes ready !
The track will be open mid-week for competitors to practice as much or as little as they want.
It is the Hosts hope that this event can provide some excellent racing, some examples of GTA driving Brilliance and most importantly bring players within the GTA community together for some fun !
Its success is dependent on the competitors, if you represent a crew, spread the word to the other members get them involved. Using the platform GTA Online provides we constantly try to use it creatively for you and your friends to get involved and to have some fun. How much fun is dependent on you ! spread the word the ROAR ISLE OF LOS SANTOS TT RACES are here !
Prizes
The event will offer the Ultimate Prize – bragging rights ! at present there is no cash prize, only the ultimate feeling of being a winner. However I am currently in discussion with a number of parties regarding the donation of possible prizes. If this comes of they will be announced but as it stands – do it for the love of racing, competing and having fun !
